Poppies is Delivered & the First Residents Are Moving In

Poppies has been delivered, and the first seeds of the MaMa Pioneers community are starting to grow.

The modular and circular residential development in Amsterdam Noord comprises 103 mid-range rental apartments built with prefabricated timber modules. Poppies sets a new standard for conscious, community-centred urban living.

Throughout the move-in period, MaMa Pioneers organised rooftop borrels on the terrace for neighbours to meet each other. It’s a simple way to connect, start feeling at home, and get a sense of the shared spaces — all while enjoying the views over Amsterdam Noord.

Residents are beginning to explore the building, from communal areas and shared workspaces to outdoor terraces. The move-in days are already helping the community come together, as people meet, exchange ideas, and start creating life in Poppies.
