Robin Wood Breaks Ground on the Netherlands’ Largest Massive Timber City Block

We are thrilled to announce that the Robin Wood project is officially underway. This landmark development will be the largest massive timber city block in the Netherlands, bringing together 165 homes, alongside a public library, shops, offices, flexible workspaces, a café, art studios, parking, roof terraces, and a Tiny Forest.

With its innovative massive timber construction, Robin Wood sets a new benchmark for socially conscious, bio-based building, blending sustainability with vibrant community living.

The project brings together a diverse team of visionaries and experts, including MaMa Pioneers, Common Wealth Investments (CWI), Edwin Oostmeijer, Marc Koehler, Andy Kloppenburg, Renz Johannes Millenaar, Guido Geheniau, Marc Dreesmann, Slokker Bouwgroep, DGMR, Techniplan Adviseurs, Van Rossum Raadgevende Ingenieurs BV, Tenderboost, LandLAB_, and CLT-S NV. Architecture and design are led by Marc Koehler Associates and ANA architecten.

Robin Wood represents a milestone in the future of urban living, where timber, community, and sustainability come together to create a new standard for the built environment.
